For help and advice on getting started, Visit: | ![]() How to Get StartedFirstly you need to know what we are about and why. Formula 1000 Rally Club was thought about late 2003 by Tristan Dodd and later a colleague, Dave Thomas of ANWCC. The first season's rallying started in March 2004 on the Roskirk Stages at Three Sisters, Wigan. The aim was to find a way of cheap rally motor sport for all types of people. Whether they be people on a tight (not very flexible budget), new starters or people wanting to have another bash at rallying, (but maybe too old to start off in the 1600's or 2ltrs!!!). But heh it doesn't matter who they were! The Committee was formed with Tristan as Chairman. A Constition was brought about, and technical and championship regulations were set down for everybody to adher to. With a reasonable estimate of approx 6 cars would enter over the year, how the shock waves went through the camp when the maximum entry at one event alone was 22, with countless other members on the records.
