2022 Championship Finale

21 November 2022/in Home-Page, News

So whilst David took the title these crews didn’t make it plain sailing. Sam Mason and James Seymour took second step of the championship podium with Max Speed and Alan Gilbert in third. Both had a mathematical chance of victory going into the weekend and in one scenario Max beating David could have won the title for Sam. However that’s not how it played out but superb driving and sportsmanship from them all weekend gave us great entertainment.

David Burden and Peter Williams take the 2022 championship crown

21 November 2022/in Home-Page, News, Results

Congratulations to David Burden and Peter Williams on taking the 2022 championship crown. A faultless performance all year by the crew and a very mature drive over the weekend setting top times throughout the two days. A great result for the whole team and for Tom and Emma David’s mum and dad. Not sure if Emma has any fingers nails left as I think she was more nervous than Tom.

Patriot Win For Sam Mason

3 October 2022/in Home-Page, News

Sam Mason never put a foot wrong today to take victory after six stages at Caerwent. David Burden had a bad first stage but charged back through the field to take a very creditable third place just behind Max Speed who seems to have thrown of his run of bad luck. The last stage saw Jack Birch hold off Charlie Mathewson for fourth in a high drama finish. Rhys Jones,Josh Slaughter and Daniel Taylor and Julian Fouqet followed home for a 100 per cent finish.

Micra Tops Times at Caerwent

2 October 2022/in Home-Page, News

Jack Birch and Mike Jode proved the Micra is still a force to be reckoned with when they set the fastest time on the first stage of yesterday’s event. As the conditions dried they slipped back slightly but still finished fourth. At the end of the day we had three different makes in the top four which is a great showing.

Well done Jack Birch

At Knockhill for the Mcrae Challenge event

3 July 2022/in Home-Page, News

This weekend saw seven of our teams once again head North of the border to Knockhill for the Mcrae Challenge event. We once again joined up with the competitors from the Junior Ecosse Challenge with an impressive 20 cars out in total on the event. This year the two championships are not running to the same regulations and with the Ecosse Challenge running lighter cars and still having the Yokohama Tyres the results from our teams were even more impressive. David Burden and Peter Williams took the top step of the English Podium with a hard charging Jack Birch and Mike Jode in the Mighty Micra taking second with Rhys Jones and Steven Brown completing the podium in third. A long trip from South Wales for the Jones’s rewarded with some valuable points. Oliver Waggett took fourth with a consistent drive and all our newer drivers benefitting from seat time. Behind Oliver it was tales of woe with Daniel Taylor holing his petrol tank and the team having to work late into the night on Saturday to get him back out for the Sunday stages. Charlie Mathewson and Max Speed had both been showing excellent pace all weekend, but Max retired with driveshaft issues and Charlie retiring on the next to last stage with Jack Birch in second and Rhys Jones in third. Still a long way to go with five events remaining and no Jokers yet played. Blackpool next for the Heroes Stages at Weeton Camp, and event that always provides a few surprises.

David Burden and Peter Williams take victory on John Overend Junior Rally at Melbourne

19 June 2022/in News

An excellent event today hosted by North Humberside Motor Club at Melbourne Nr York. Dry but very dusty conditions were the order of the day making the stages challenging with drifting dust from other cars. Glad to say though that we had seven finishers from the seven starters with some great driving from all our young drivers.
